In January of 1972 Metropolis, IL was designated the adopted Home of Superman. 2 Years later the Metropolis Superman Celebration began. What started as a 1-day community gathering has grown into a 4- day must-visit event for any Superman or comic loving fan. Market Street abounds with a flurry of activities and over 40 food vendors and merchants. Fun for the entire family can be found. From nightly musical acts, Superman themed trivia and games and pictures with the official Man of Steel himself, this event is something that everyone should attend at least once in their life!
